Proprietor Jess Jackson explains - "I consider Kendall-Jackson to be a mega-boutique winery. We produce wine in small lots, one barrel at a time. However, we have many more barrels than other small wineries, which requires that we work much harder to ensure quality." Every vineyard lot is kept separate through the entire winemaking process, allowing each to be nurtured to full potential. Critical artisan winemaking steps are taken throughout.

Collage is the newest example of the quality promise and master blending philosophy of KJ. Traditionally, KJ has made wines by blending single varietals from multiple regions. Now for the first time, they have combined two different grape varietals. By marrying the flavors of complementary varietals, they have created wines with greater depth and complexity.
